Newsletter 13

Hello My sweet Owls. We had Christmas Fun in our class last week. We read The First Christmas and sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We decorated our Christmas ornamanet for the class tree, we also made some "secret projects". We saw all the animals. SOOO FUN. We rode Larry the Camel and Jack the Donkey. We also got to pet the sheep and a 3 week old lamb. We had so much fun. We played outside in the beautiful cool weather and played with the Manger scene.

Please come and join us this week for our Happy Birthday Jesus Party followed by cake in the owl room.

Try to get some rest and enjoy the rush.

Newsletter 12

It is Christmas in the owl class. We had a fun week talking about baby Jesus. We painted a Christmas tree, and explored with Christmas stamps. We played in the ribbons and bows. So fun. We read First Christmas and Five Little Christmas Trees. We explored the nativity scene and sang Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. What sweet voices. In Chapel we followed the star and found baby Jesus and rang bells as we sang songs. In motormovement we played with the balls and parachute. We love this.

I look forward to next week when we have the live Nativity Scene. Come ride the camel. We will be working on a Christmas surprise next week.

Take a deep breath and try to find some Christmas peace this week.

Newsletter 11

Happy Thanksgiving my precious owls. We had a great Big Picnic. We all loved the puppets and fish sticks. The ketchup was the best. We had a great week exploring Turkeys. We marble painted a Turkey. We had Turkeys in our corn and we counted and talked about the different kind of turkeys. We sang our Turkey song and oh course we Gobbled. We talked with Mr. Turkey about his feathers and hat. We made a handprint turkey and painted with fall cookie cutters. So Fun. We also got to play outside in the owl like weather. We had another great week in the owl class. I am hearing ALL of my owls language improving weekly. It is so fun to see brain growth. What a smart group.

My prayer for all of you is that you have a restful and peaceful Thanksgiving. I will miss my Tuesday Owls because we will already be traveling to Grandmas. I am excited for a little family time. Rest up and get ready for Christmas.

Newsletter 10

Good Day my sweet precious owls. I missed my Tuesday owls because my daughter was sick, but she is doing better. We had a great Wednesday and Thursday. We glued fall shapes and stamped fall items and made a pumpkin knuckle print. We enjoyed talking about Mr. Turkey and singing the turkey song again. We love to Gobble. We went to chapel where we jumped and counted to 10 while listening to the story of the 10 leper men that Jesus healed and the one man that said Thank you. We talked about saying Thank you to God. We also went to motormovement where we played on the parachute and rolled the balls. We love this. As always we played outside and explored all that Ms. Pat has for us.

I look forward to next week where we will explore Turkeys.

Remember the Big Picnic is next week. Please come and enjoy the puppet show and fish sticks.

We are still filling our big orange box full of can goods.

Newsletter 9

Happy Day my precious Owls. What a great week we had exploring leaves. We roll painted a leaf, we stamped leaves and we threw the leaves in the air. We talked about the colors and talked about the size. In the sensory table we played with deer corn and searched for leaves in the deer corn. We sang the Turkey song and loved saying GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE. We talked with Mr. Turkey and all his attributes. He is a bird, and has feathers.


We had our picture made. This was so fun. I think we got a good one of each of my friends.


In Chapel we feed Mr. Hungry and talked about sharing. Please remeber to bring in your food to share. We have a large Orange box to fill up.


I look forward to next week when we will explore suqirrels and turkeys.

Newsletter 8

Happy Halloween my precious owls. Did anyone see an owl last night? We had a great week exploring pumpkins and Halloween. We painted a pumpkin, stamped pumpkins, played in the water table and used our fine motor muscles to pick the little pumpkins out of the water. We read Corduroys Halloween, Pumpkin Patch and Here comes Halloween. We even tasted and played in Pumpkin Pudding. FUN FUN. We went to the Fall Festival and made butter and took a hay ride. We even picked apples and played games. OWLS love the Fall.

Remember next week is picture week and I will do my best to keep them clean before the pictures. I think we are first to have our taken. GOOD GOOD.

Newsletter 7

Happy Fall Day. What a great afternoon we are having. Another great OWL day. I enjoyed visiting with all of you Thursday night. It was fun to see everyone together. Your kids are a happy group of kids if only we didn't have to drop them off.



We had another great week exploring pumpkins. We painted a pumpkin orange at the easel, we looked at different types of pumpkins (bumpy, smooth, orange, yellow, big, little and even heavy).They loved carrying them around the room. We even opened a pumpkin and looked at the slimy seeds.YUCK!! We read the book Five Little Pumpkins and recited the poem while doing the motions. We rolled the pumpkins down the slide. This was great FUN. We played in the black beans and searched for the little pumpkins under the leaves. We played in the shaving cream and WASHED OUR HANDS. I am about to make this a center. They love it.



In Motormovement we threw the leaves in the air and said UP, Down, rolled the ball and crawled like kitty's to different colored lines. We loved this.



In Chapel we wore our coat of many col ores and walked through the life of Joseph by jumping in a well and working and finally becoming king.



I really appreciate all the kind words this week. You guys are all very supportive and you make it easy to come play with sweet owls. Thank you so much for the VERY Cute Boo Crew Shirt. I will be showing it off all next week.



We will be having some more Halloween fun next week and the Fall Festival will be each day during Chapel. Please come and enjoy.

Newsletter 6

To my sweet precious owl friends and mommy's- Thank you Thank you Thank you so much for my beautiful flowers. I love them. The colors are so vibrant. I can't wait to get my toes done.( a little time for me) You guys are so sweet thank you again.

We had a great week at the farm in the owl class. We LOVED the animals only a few friends said "No Thank You". We chased the pigs and ducks and pet the goats and deer. The ducks were the loudest of the group and they loved to run from us. The goats were just like big dogs and let us pet them without running. SO FUN and a great experience. In our Owl room we stamped animals and played with the animals as we sang Old McDonald Had a Farm. We read a book called Cock a Doodle Do. We love making animal sounds. "MOO QUACK" We made animal sounds all day. I am always working on their language. We played in oatmeal and the shaving cream. We colored with markers. The owls love this. We enjoyed a parachute in Chapel. What a great ride. We played outside and explored our toys. FUN FUN.

I am looking forward to next week as we explore Pumpkins.

Open House is Thursday 22ND from 6:30-7:30. Come and explore the room and meet some of the friends who are in the other classes. I will have centers open to play and some pictures to look at. Hope to see you there.

Remember- With all the viruses going around, make sure and be fever free for 24 hours before coming to school. We will miss you but it will keep everyone else well.

Newsletter 5

Spiders Spiders everywhere. We had yet another great week in the OWL class. We played with spiders and PVC pipe in oatmeal. It was fun hiding the spiders and digging for them. We sang the Itsy Bitsy Spider and Little Miss Muffet. We read the book The Special Spider and painted a spider with a stencil. We pet my spider puppet and sang with our own spiders the live in the oatmeal. So Fun!!







We had a great time in Motormovement. We played ball and beanbags with Ms. Betty. We loved exploring the big room and enjoyed running all over.







In Chapel We learned about a man who could not walk and we helped lower him into the house so Jesus could heal him. God is so Good.







We look forward to next week when we learn about the Farm. The petting zoo is coming. I can't wait.

Hello and HAPPY FALL. Owls love the cool weather. It just makes me feel like HOOTING. We had a great week in the owl class. We explored bears. We read Brown Bear Brown Bear and played with the animal puppets. We put them in bags and boxes and even let them slide down the slide. We played in the water table with shaving cream. We mixed it like soup with the big spoons. We painted a bear brown with a bear fur paint brush.

It is was sensory week and Mrs. Pat had fun things for us to explore like ice in the water tables and frozen hair gel the was different textures as it defrosted. We loved watering the plants as usual and we learned she has a strawberry plant growing. Hopefully strawberries will grow. We also played in corn starch and water that makes an interesting texture. FUN FUN.

In chapel we traveled with Moses and ran through the parted sea and walked along the dessert. We ate Manna and watched a rock give us water. What a great time we had. God worked many miracles.

We are looking forward to next week when we explore spiders.

Newsletter 3

Hello Sweet Precious Owls. We had a rainy week so things were a little different. We got to go to the fellowship hall and play with all of Ms. Pat's toys. She has trucks, trains, scooters and doll houses to explore. We read a story called Hello Feet Hello Toes. We tried on Mommy shoes, Boots, and Daddy shoes. We really had fun doing this. Big shoes are so much fun. We painted our feet and made a print. It is so exciting to see their face when their foot leaves a print on the paper. We also got to go to chapel and we acted out creation and sang fun songs. We played in our room by exploring the rice table and always a favorite the balls and slide. What a great week we had in the owl room. Our brains are growing.

We look forward to next week when we explore Bears. Hopefully we will get to play on the playground. That is one of our favorite activities.

Newsletter 2

What a great week we had playing and learning in the owl class. We explored with our senses by playing and getting DIRTY. We played outside and watered Ms. Pat's flowers.(the playground teacher) she always has great things for us to explore. We also got to go to Chapel with the bluebirds and meet Phineas the Frog. Mrs. Dennis let us hug him. So sweet. We had cookies for snack and drank from a big kid cup. Yeah!! In our room we painted an owl orange and made a hand print. We loved this. We sang Mary Had a little Lamb and counted the Lambs and followed directions by placing our lamb puppet on different parts of our body. We talked about the color white and pet the lambs, they were soft. We had a great week.. Thank you for sharing your little owls with me.

I know your precious little ones get DIRTY at school. I don't want to mess-up your clothes so please wear the same outfit if it is already stained or please wear things we can play in. This exploration is one of the great things at ELP. Our brain is growing and learning about our world.

I have some great pictures of the second week. All my friends enjoyed themselves.

I am looking forward to next week. We are going to explore with our feet. FUN,FUN,FUN!!!

Newsletter 1

Hello Toddler Owls


I enjoyed meeting all of my precious friends. We had a great time playing outside with the Bluebird class. We dug in the dirt, played in the water table and even painted. The owls had an awesome time exploring all the fun things on the playground. In our room we danced to the music and played in the rice. FUN FUN FUN!!

I look forward to next week we have a lot of work to do.
